Packing it up, about to head to the airport. I really want to put on my badge one last time and head to the convention center, but it’s back to the real world and to real work. On the positive side, I am excited and energized and ready to dive back into it with a new view of the world, with friends both new and old to tell about it.
It’s feeling like the end of “The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe”, when you know that the kids can’t return to Narnia (and before you were, ahem, told that there were more books in the series). Sad. A little wistful. Prematurely nolstagic. The difference is, of course, that I can go back next year :-)

While I didn’t have the opportunity to even consider attending this amazing convention, the last couple of days seem as if I were really there. Thanks to everyone for providing us all with the play by play.

It was pretty amazing…I actually need to take the day to process everything and decompress, otherwise my head will explode :-)
I know exactly how you feel Dave, leaving SXSW was definitely bittersweet. It’s nice to be home, but I’m already looking forward to next year.
This was my first year, and it was great. Glad to be one of the 4 people from NH there.
Dave – you are one of those people that I’m kicking myself for not introducing myself to at SXSW this year. We’ll have to make sure to hook up next year – if not at bowling, then somewhere else for sure… maybe grab a bite to eat. Sounds like you enjoyed the conference…
Ian: Yeah, ditto. It’s cool though that we found each other, and can try to keep that SXSW vibe going up here in the frigid northeast.
Derek: I was wondering what you looked like! I heard the hushed whispers about “featherstone”, but wouldn’t have had any idea how to introduce myself if I even saw you. Next year, man! :-)
