I’ve never heard of the Pilot Hi-Tec-C pen before yesterday, but apparently there is quite a passionate community built around them. A pair of designers in Brooklyn made a beautiful milled stainless steel holder for the Hi-Tec-C cartridge, and is selling them for $50 via their Kickstarter Page. They are over 7000% funded, so they’ll be definitely making these; afterwards, the pens will retail for $99. You have until August 15, 2011 to grab one!

    Dave,

    I had never heard of these pens before either. Now I’m excited. To be able to feel as if I’ve added ink to my love for a mechanical pencil makes my heart lurch.
