[...] Does anyone out there no where a person could actually buy a few- not a hundred- but a reasonable 10 or so of these Gripa-Slip flat pens that God made to go in your Moleskine? I can’t say I’ve pimped my Moleskine without them. There’s a couple of blog posts, but I can’t find anyone who sells them. [...]

  4. Office Repo » 2 Blog Articles on the Power Of Paper

[...] I found these two articles today, and I couldn’t agree more (my comments below) From Contract Worker: “It may sound obvious, but a really easy way to increase productivity is to maintain a daily checklist. You’d be surprised at how many (my old self included) fail to do this. A daily checklist helps you remember what needs to be done. Marking each item as they’re accomplished also gives a sense of satisfaction. I’d suggest keeping a small notebook and writing each new day’s tasks on a new page. This makes tracking your achievements over time possible. And you can see if you’re consistently reaching or failing your goals, adjusting your work load or habits to compensate.” From David Seah “Last week I wrote about these flat bookmark pens I got at Barnes & Noble. I finally got a chance to use them “in the field” during Barcamp Manchester, tucking one into a thin moleskine cashier journal. It was quite convenient, and I discovered that the flexing of the pen body was actually an advantage: it doesn’t break when you sit on it! At least, so far it hasn’t.” [...]

  5. Kolz Blog » Blog Archive » Moleskine + flat pen = back pocket writing kit

[...] Moleskine + flat pen = back pocket writing kit December 1st, 2006 by Lifehacker Designer Dave Seah - who first recommended these nifty flat pens - is giving them a test run with his Moleskine in his back pocket. Says Dave: The bottom of the pen tends to move around [inside the notebook]; I might use a small loop of paper or sponge to help keep the pen in place. The cover does bend alarmingly, conforming itself around the pen, but I think the Moleskine can probably hold up to it. Time will tell. While I blanch at the thought of bending my Moleskine's cover - let's be honest, the notebook is as much for admiring and stroking as writing - it's neat to see a workable embeddable pen with it. Very satisfying for those of us with an office supplies fetish. Which is, of course, all of us. — Gina Trapani Flat Pens and Moleskines [David Seah] [...]
