Stupid Spammers

POSTED Wed May.31.2006 by Dave Seah UNDER Blogging TAGGED

Last night I got 2500 spam comments, which is a lot for me. Spam Karma 2 caught ALL of them, but I don’t like giant logfiles of spam comments, so I have just upgraded to Bad Behavior 2. UPDATE: As the author of the plugin notes, this is a pre-release version. I sometimes wonder if [...]

The Rise and Fall of the American Club Sandwich

POSTED Fri May.19.2006 by Dave Seah UNDER Culture, Personal TAGGED ,

POSTED Wed Apr.26.2006 by Dave Seah UNDER Inspiration TAGGED

Chris Rhee publishes the highly-entertaining My Mean Girl blog, which is one of my favorite reads. Because of his blog, I have hope that someday I’ll meet a suitable-crazy woman to fall in love with. Email Me! No Really, It’s Working This Time!

POSTED Fri Nov.11.2005 by Dave Seah UNDER Inspiration TAGGED ,

I was updating some plugins, most notably wp-cache, wp-hashcash, and wp-contact form. I’ve been bitten on the ass by changes to the WP Contact Form before because of my finicky email setup, so I tested it again to make sure it’s still working. And it’s not. After an hour or so of fiddling, I think [...]

*!@#$! Spammers

POSTED Wed Apr.20.2005 by Dave Seah UNDER Inspiration TAGGED

Some asshole is apparently using my domain as a return address for their bullshit spam, and as a result I get to reconfigure all my mail filters to ignore the bogus users. Whee. I can’t wait for validated email to become a standard.
