Separate Twitter for Blog Post Notification

Separate Twitter for Blog Post Notification

I was catching up with my friend Al in Germany this morning, and he mentioned that he hadn’t seen some of my recent blog posts because I don’t post them on Twitter. “But I hate it when twitter feeds are nothing but blog post updates!” I whined. “Do people really like that?” Apparently so! Al then told me about buffer, which allows you to post social network updates all from one place. The cool part about it is that it’s accessible from many devices AND it will pace out updates over time.

So I’ve made a new twitter account @davidseahdotcom that will essentially be an update stream for blog posts as they go up. I’m going to continue to post my more personal stuff on @daveseah. If you spend more time on Facebook, I’ll continue to post updates on my Facebook page. I think that covers everything!

David, I think the most important mantra in marketing is ‘deliver your message to the medium’. I don’t really care who uses what tool to read my blog content, just that they do so I deliver it everywhere via Buffer and HootSuite…

Todd: Thanks for the reminder! I am so not one to broadcast my message to all media at my disposal because I’m under some kind of impression that it’s obtrusive. I probably should try it for a week or two and see what happens. Just be EVERYWHERE without shame!
